Juilius Shulman or Not

Julius Shulman Chuey Residence

Amsterdam library study carrel

Before our trip to Amsterdam, we studied, on an individual basis, a famous photographer and his/her works. The goal was that while in Amsterdam, each of us would try to take pictures that mimicked our photographer’s pictures. I picked Julius Shulman, who is considered the photographer who created the modern view of architectural photography. His photographs are known for high contrast and interesting composition. Amsterdam was cloudy while we were there but luckily enough we stopped at the library in Amsterdam where I took this picture.
