Bread and Buns

Here at the Villa, everyone is assigned a job and I am known as the bread runner. I have been given the greatest honor of waking up at 6:30 a.m. five days a week to walk down to the panetteria and buy bread. When I was hired for this important assignment I was a little disappointed, but to be honest now I love it. There are many reasons why I am glad to have this job. Benefits include: 1) Always having a hot shower and a quiet breakfast, because I am the first one up 2) Getting to go out, talk with locals, and practice my Italian 3) Climbing up a steep old staircase where I sometimes need to stop and take a break, but soon will be running up them. And when I leave Genoa, I will be taking my buns of steel with me.
