Sweet Treats
Location: Along the main entrance to the Palazzo dei Congressi in Rome, Italy (but really, anywhere in Italy)
For those wishing to take a break from all of the gelato, Italy offers a great selection of pastry shops offering everything from chocolate dipped cookies and croissants to mini fruit pies (for those on a “diet”). Depending on the shop, for about .30 euro each, you can stock up on all of the wonderful deliciousness you can handle. At this particular shop in Rome’s EUR, I strongly recommend the mini fruit custard pies with kiwi and peach (or mandarin oranges) on top. The vanilla and chocolate crème puffs are also worth a stop in.
