A Very Public Bathroom
Map
The bathroom on the Salita della Torretta is no ordinary public bathroom. People may expect a city's public restroom to be a run down "hole in the wall," but this bathroom is literally a "hole in the wall." It takes the word “public” to another level. The only form of privacy is a small metal shield that will not block someone from people coming up the hill. The hole is lined with tile and graffiti and has a urinal with a constant flow of water. Who would have thought to design a bathroom in the wall? With a hill that long, I guess some people just can’t wait.
