Our second class trip took us to the city of Amsterdam. To take a break from all of the serious architecture that we were studying, I decided to take a trip to the Amersfoort Zoo. This is not the zoo of tourists but the zoo for the locals, reminiscent of my childhood and the small zoos we always went to. Amersfoort has all of the regular attractions that you would expect to find, but also some very nice places. When I arrived at the zoo, a wedding party was having their reception there. The exhibits may be in Dutch but, you can still enjoy all of the attractions as well as find someone to translate for you.
