Views from the Torre del Mangia

Siena's Torre del Mangia offers an amazing 360-degree view of the city. Built in 1334, this was once of the tallest non-sectarian towers in mediaeval Italy. There are 503 steps to the top of the bell tower, from which the Duomo, Campo, and Basilica di San Domenico are clearly visable. Nice days offer a picturesque view of the countryside with its rolling hills and vinyards that are typically Tuscan.
