Castle at Interlaken

While on a weekend trip to a really beautiful Swiss town called Interlaken, we decided to walk up one of the hills to get a better view of the town. Although it was a little chilly, it was not cold enough to snow. Since we were not able to play in the snow, we were hoping to at least get a good view of the snow-capped Alps. While on this journey, we stumbled upon the remains of castle or watchtower which I found really fascinating. The tower and surrounding structure showed wear that signaled it must have been quite old, although I am not sure how old. The tower had a plaque on one side in German which may have told a little more about the structure, but unfortunately none of us could translate the text. The area around the castle has been turned into a small cemetary, but the view from the structure is breathtaking, and this makes it a place that I recommend seeing if you are ever in Interlaken.
