Use Your Senses!

Textures in Cinque Terre
While in Camogli and Cinque Terre, beach towns on the Italian Riviera, we were asked to pay special attention to our surroundings and look for colors and textures in unexpected places/contexts.
Giving an honest attempt at this notion of a higher state of consciousness, I became aware not only of the full array of colors and textures surrounding me but also the noises, smells, and tactile nature of things I came into contact with. It was a great learning opportunity and created for me a much richer experience.

"Running down the road, tryin' to loosen my load..."

Among the beautiful cities, nice people, and fantastic food, one of the greatest things I’ve found in Europe is the pace of life. Of course, Europeans drive like they’re an hour late to everything, but I’ve decided that it’s only to make time for some of life’s slower moments. Taking a seat at a sidewalk cafĂ© and grabbing a beverage allows people to enjoy Europe’s other great qualities. So, if you find yourself rushing around the bustling streets in any European city, take a seat, place your order, and remember to “Take it Easy” –The Eagles.
