Carlo Felice Theater
Teatro Carlo Felice Situated within the Piazza de Ferrari the Carlo Felice Theater by Aldo Rossi is a superb architectural destination within Genoa. The current state of the theater was a result of the continual bombing raids on the famous opera hall during World War II. The stipulations imposed upon the architectural renovation were to restore the existing façade to its original state as well as accommodating a complex of new functions and spaces. As a result the powerful presence of the architecture is based upon Rossi’s theoretical foundation of transcending time through “urban artifacts” of the city. Furthermore, he has foregone technical or historical detailing in order to preserve the integrity of the volumes as an echo of structures that have stood the test of time.

Ohhhh, I remember I've been playing quite often in this Theatro Carlo Felice.
several times at the light-blue Auditorium, and twice at the "piazza"-like big hall...
nice blog, it remebers me the time I spent in Genoa, my grandparents town, who now are at Staglieno...
ciao.
