Nice Home Sweet Home

For a quick (and very inexpensive) weekend break from The Villa (wonderful as it is), Nice France presents the perfect opportunity. While one can always find a slew of hostels and budget hotels, I would recommend trying a Bed & Breakfast such as "Nice Home Sweet Home." These places are usually run by a couple and the apartments are typically situated above a business. Nice is a fairly small city so most of the lodgings are located within easy walking distance of the train station and the beach. If you decide to play tourist for a weekend, we have found that for lodging purposes, www.hostelworld.com is the quickest, easiest and most efficient way to find a suitable place.
The website offers an overall rating (decided upon by the customers) which is broken down into categories of Cleanliness, Location, Staff, Character, Fun,and Security...we found the ratings to be quite honest (which bode well for us as Home Sweet Home had an overall rating of 96%). The website will also display the dates of room availability and the corresponding prices of each room per night. Booking is relatively easy and accurate directions are provided.
Specifically regarding "Nice Home Sweet Home," breakfast is included (a simple spread of French Bread and homemade strawberry and apricot jam), and linens and towels are provided. The cost for one nights stay in Home Sweet Home was 20 euro (in March, the prices vary depending on the season) and each party of our group was very satisfied with their stay.
