Outlets at Serravalle

Located about halfway between Milano and Genova, the Serravalle outlets offer a great opportunity to shop-hop between the great Italian fashion houses. Prada, Dolce + Gabbana, and Versace are just the beginning. There are almost 170 stores to peruse, and several restaurants to select from - including Burger King.

From Stazione Principe, take the train towards Milan. You will get off at either Arquata Scrivia or Novi Ligure. Outside the station, catch the bus that runs between the two stations. There is a stop at the Outlet Mall. From here, you can either wait for the shuttle buses to take you to the outlet or cross the highway and walk through the expansive parking lot towards your final destination. On our trip, we chose to cross the highway - a Versace Frogger, if you will. For the return trip, retrace your steps.

We timed our trip to coincide with the SALDIs, but very few stores had additional discounts. Many of the big-name stores have a small security force at the entrance to regulate the influx of customers. At some stores, you may have a short wait to get inside.
