The Funicular

The funicular is a quick and easy way to get around Genoa that, in some cases, is more convenient than bus or taxi. There are two funiculars in the city, the closest of which is located next to the 'di per di' on Corso Firenze behind Villa XIV. Boarding at Stazione S. Nicola, travelers can chose between two tracks. The first will take you 4 stops to the top of the local mountain which provides an impressive view of the city. The second takes you to the heart of the city, a quick way to get downtown. Tickets are only .70 Euro and the funicular stops at the Stazione frequently. Looking for a new way to travel? Try the funicular!
